A boost gauge is there to let you see how much pressure your turbocharger is generating. The stock gauge does not have any reference numbers, so it is largely useless.

Opinion

I wanted a gauge to fit the stock location, and almost all companies have stopped producing the ~45mm gauges. This Omori gauge was one of the few that I found, and I've been happy with it.
