My MR2 came with the sound package that probably sounded great when new, but the speakers had deteriorated by the time I purchased the car in 2003. I decided to replace the speakers with Infinity Perfect Components, and I installed the tweeters in the kick panels for a more even distance from speaker to ear.

Opinion

Powered by an Audiobahn amplifier, these speakers sound great. I've even been asked by passengers what kind of subs I have, but I never installed any. The mid-range Infinity speakers can actually hit reasonably hard and the sound quality is great, even when turning the music way up when the T-tops are off.
